Our Story

Kids Catching Christ is a God-Driven ministry that was literally created in a driveway in the small, fishing village of Sargent, TX. It came about during Covid when there would be no in person VBS. Mrs. Mary and Ms. Carol felt burdened for the children in their area, who would not be able to do the virtual VBS that many local churches offered. When they asked the Father for help, the solution was simple; take Jesus to the children.

Mrs. Mary's daughter came up with the name and the ministry was built with servants willing to heed God's call. At its beginning, KCC, was expecting 60 children. 70 children were signed up that first delivery and since then, the numbers have only grown. Kids Catching Christ now is approaching 320 children and has plans to expand worldwide.

Each month, children receive a Bible lesson, color sheet, and sometimes a craft or prize. These are dropped off right at doorsteps. Throughout the year, special devotional booklets are also given out. Mrs. Mary specifically writes each lesson and devotional booklet with KCC in her heart and on her mind.  The kids involved get special material just for them.

It brings the community together also. KCC hosts an Easter Egg Hunt and a Summer Camp. Local churches and organizations all chip in to help bring it all to life and fulfill God's vision for the children.

One of the biggest things that makes KCC special is its student leaders. Mrs. Mary is also a youth director for the church she attends and trains her youth students to teach and lead at Summer Camp. A special leader pack is created for the youth students and they run the camp. This has been one of the greatest revivals and upbringing of the next generation they have seen in their area.
